This kitchen went from a confined space that was difficult to entertain in, to a beautiful open space that will be used for family gatherings for years to come!

This beautiful home was built by the owner’s grandparents. The kitchen was a tight space with old dark cabinets and a very low ceiling.

The owner’s desire was to remove the wall between the kitchen and the existing dining room to expand the kitchen and provide space for a pantry. These two rooms were gutted to the studs and the space was opened up. The demo process revealed extensive plumbing, electrical, and HVAC modifications that were necessary. We had anticipated many of the issues that we found.

Specifically, the plumbing required creative solutions to accommodate the new modifications. The space was fully insulated and finished with a matching skip trowel texture. Our cabinet maker worked closely with the homeowners to provide the kitchen of their dreams.

Some of the kitchen features included space and a lift for a stand mixer, “Sonic” style, in-cabinet ice machine, soft close hardware, and electrical services on the island. The island was finished with a beautiful butcher block top. Counters are “poured in place” concrete with a subway tile backsplash.

Flooring is a durable vinyl plank system provided by Cali Bamboo, with whom we are a distributor.
