Hiwa Builders is a distinctly Californian construction company. Our designs are influenced by the freedom and flexibility that has historically been a part of California’s ethics and style.

Our own CEO can build a house with his own two hands, but he’s also a designer who will dream up a perfect space for you within your limitations (or outside of them, if you need help expanding your vision).

From simple remodels and home improvements to new builds or commercial properties, Hiwa Builders offers high-level design and execution in Santa Barbara, Chico and surrounding areas.

need it? we can build it. Here’s how our process works:

  1. Call our office so we can get some basic information and set up a time for one of the managers to come take a look and talk to you.

  2. At the site visit, we’ll take measurements and photos and get all the info we need to provide a quote for your job.

  3. Once we put the quote together, we send it to you via email through our software. You can review it, call us with any questions, and accept it if you choose. We ALWAYS send quotes through our software so that everyone is on the same page regarding cost, build processes and timelines.

  4. Once you accept your quote and sign, we put you in the queue for work to be scheduled. Depending on the time of year and our workload, work time and scheduling varies.

  5. During your project, you will be directly in touch with your Project Manager to keep in touch, ask questions, and discuss anything that comes up.

  6. If you need help with design, plans, or engineering—don’t worry, we can take care of that, too.
